随着世界全球化的发展,研究生学术英语能力的发展引起学术界的普遍关注。本研究结合定量与定性研究方法,探讨3所高校204名英语专业研究生的自我效能感与学术英语能力的关系。结果显示学生的自我效能感与学术英语能力总体维度及分维度(语言能力、知识能力和研究能力)总体处于中等水平;学生的自我效能感显著影响学术英语能力,并在语言能力、知识能力和研究能力分维度上具有预测作用。结果在一定程度上丰富了学术英语能力研究,对如何提高学术研究能力研究具有借鉴意义。
Abstract:As globalization continues to advance, there has been an increasing focus on the development of academic competence among English postgraduates. This study employs both quantitative and qualitative research approaches to explore how self-efficacy affects the academic English competence of 204 postgraduate students majoring in English from three universities. The results indicate that students' self-efficacy is generally moderate, both overall and within the sub-dimensions of academic English, such as language competence, knowledge, and research capabilities. Furthermore, self-efficacy is strongly positively related to, and serves as an indicator of, the three aspects of academic English competence. The findings somewhat enhance the understanding of academic English competence and offer references to help improve postgraduates' research capabilities.
